Submission Process and Workflow

All manuscript submissions must be made through the Online Journal System (OJS). Authors are required to register on the OJS as new users and upload their manuscripts using the "Make a new Submission" link.

If you experience any technical difficulties with the OJS, you may submit your manuscript via email to editor@philogram.in

For papers with multiple authors, the submitting author must use the "Add Contributor" option to enter the names of all co-authors. This step is crucial, as the author details published on the journal are taken directly from the metadata submitted on the OJS. Any changes in authorship must also be updated in the OJS by the registered author.

Once submitted, manuscripts are assigned to members of the Editorial Board based on their area of research for a double-blind peer review.

After receiving comments from two reviewers, a decision is made and communicated to the authors. The possible outcomes are:

  • Acceptance without revisions

  • Rejection

  • Minor revisions required

  • Major revisions required and resubmission

Revised manuscripts are reviewed by the editorial team to make a final decision. Accepted articles are then sent for typesetting and proofreading.

Authors will first receive the Galley Proof of their articles by email to check for any corrections. After the initial corrections are made, the Final Galley Proof—which includes the QR code, issue details, and page numbers—will be sent to the corresponding author for final approval.

Once approved, articles will be published online and in print. Authors will receive an electronic reprint and a complimentary hard copy (subject to the availability of the prints*)of the journal.

If any errors are discovered after publication, an Erratum will be published in the subsequent issue.
